This is a learn work program. We will pay you to learn the Kentucky plumbing code to become a licensed Journeyman Plumber. The right candidate needs to be willing to learn, have good listening skills, good communication skills, good mechanical ability, be able to follow directions, a self starter and good organization skills and have a clean and neat appearance (there is a appearance policy you will need to sign before employment).

Job duties around the shop each morning: Clean around the shop including laundry, sweeping the floors, assist the plumbers in cleaning the trucks in the morning and suppling the trucks with tools or parts needed for the day, check the trucks ( oil change due date, every Monday check tire pressure and check the fluid levels), keeping all work surfaces organized and clean and taking out the trash and the recycling. You may not be on the truck with the plumber each day. There will be other shop duties such as repairs of the building and tools, installing a vent in the bathroom, moving lights etc.

Job duties when working with the plumber: Clean all surfaces that you and the plumber touch before leaving the job, learn names of all parts for plumbing, learn where everything is located on the truck so that you are efficient in suppling the plumber with parts and tools. Anticipate what tool or part the plumber will need next, Clean work area after each job, make sure all tools, lights, jackets, trash etc. is not left at the job, ask questions when on the job, take home all instruction manuals and read in the evening, listen to the plumber, be courteous to the customer and the plumber and do not speak to the customer about the repairs or give advice unless otherwise instructed by the plumber.

We provide uniforms including pants, t-shirts, jackets and hats, paid vacation of one week after 1 year of employment and two weeks paid vacation after two years of employment and 7 paid holidays after 3 months of employment.

We start work at 8:00 am Monday through Friday. We seldom provide weekend service. We are a small family owned company. We do not replace sewers or water services. We focus on small home repairs, replacing faucets, toilets, cleaning drains and sewers etc. There will be days when you do not know what time you will get off work. There will be days when we may not have work for you. We try to provide 40 hours a week but can not guarantee 40 hours a week. There will also be times when you will be asked to assist Daniel with a project at his house to assist us in providing you with 40 hours for that week.
