Postdoctoral Positions in Immunology, Vaccine Development, and Virology

Several postdoctoral positions in immunology, vaccine development, and virology are available at the Department of Dermatology, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and Harvard Medical School (HMS), Boston, MA, USA. We seek highly motivated and qualified candidates with a Ph.D or Ph.D/MD to investigate memory T cell development in the lung and to develop universal influenza vaccines. These studies extend our studies published recently in Science, Nature Nanotechnology, and Nature communication.

The candidates will also have a chance to work with other fellows in my laboratory in the research fields of allergy, sample-free blood biomarker detection, laser-based antimicrobe technology, and photobiomodulation-mediated regeneration (Science translational medicine, Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Biomaterials, etc.). Massachusetts General Hospital is a major Boston teaching hospital and teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. The postdoctoral fellows will be appointed at the Harvard Medical School and have access to a range of training opportunities available via both MGH and HMS. Salary will be according to NIH guidelines.

Requirement: The ideal candidates should have a Ph.D or Ph.D/MD degree with strong background in immunology, cell biology, and molecular biology demonstrated by strong publications. Preference will be given to an individual who can work independently and is able to write manuscript and scientific reports at a high level. The position also requires experience in working with animals.
