Position Description:

This Production Associate position provides the successful candidate opportunities to accomplish the following tasks:

Review and maintain accurate time charging.

Develop and monitor work standards and equipment capacity models.

Develop business procedures and operating plans.

Report on, monitor and impact Production department performance.

Conduct cycle observations on production parts from start to finish in a detailed manner and present to the team for final review.

Analyze and design a sequence of operations through work flow to improve efficiencies in equipment layouts and establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and staffing.

Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with Operation Sheets resulting in desired work standards.

Maintaining reporting tools to ensure accurate product labor costs and to facilitate production planning.

Support production teams in achieving cost, quality, safety and schedule objectives by utilizing traditional and Lean Mfg. tools.

Support leadership with execution of projects and programs as needed.

Position Requirements:


Must be a US Person.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Minimum of High School diploma required. Associate's degree in Production/Business Management, or other related manufacturing field of study, preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Must have working knowledge of manufacturing processes/practices and application of best practice production principles. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a related manufacturing environment.

Interface with Production Team Leaders, Production Control, Operations Engineering, Tool Makers, CNC operators, general machinists, painters, assemblers, welders, quality inspectors and material handlers within a unionized workforce.

Familiarity and working knowledge of Oracle, TeamCenter, or MRP systems.

Effective time management skills.

Demonstrated effective communication, presentation, and computer skills, basic working knowledge in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment/Demands:

This job is performed in a physical environment: office, heavy manufacturing, and shop floor environment.



This role routinely requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, personal interactions for extended periods, and uses standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, scanners, and phones.

Exposure to manufacturing environments containing noise, odors, temperature changes, and moving equipment.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accurate and organized records.

Demonstrate high level of communication and teamwork skills.

Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills.
