Production Foreman 2nd Shift

Shift: 2nd

Report To: Production Supervisor

Titles Supervised: Assembler/Packer(s), Mold Setter(s), Material Handler(s)

Payrate: $19.00/hr

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Provide coaching, mentoring, direction, training and communication to employees and other departments to ensure they have the tools and resources needed to achieve the business objectives and goals including, productivity, safety, quality, continuous improvement, and employee relations.

· Utilize the production/shipping schedule provided to effectively and efficiently schedule production runs to meet internal and external customer requirements while controlling equipment downtime.

· Implement machine/task assignments to ensure effective and efficient operations to meet customer requirements, including but not limited to production, shipping and quality requirements. Make necessary adjustments for manpower coverage due to skills, knowledge and ability and coverage requirements and make needed adjustments to avoid unnecessary or high levels of overtime to prevent overwork (Mold Setter, Material Handler and Assembler/Packer).

· Manage material and inventory control by ensuring correct material lot numbers are used and communicate with Mold Setter or other department employees to ensure quality, safety and production.

· Conduct periodic audits to ensure efficient and proper workflow and maintain records of all scrap and defective parts. such as dropped switches and damaged component parts

· Perform routine maintenance inspection on equipment to evaluate operating conditions and report any abnormal condition or danger to the department Supervisor.

Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications:

1. The Production Foreman position is required to come in 15 minutes prior to shift start.

2. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

3. Experience: 2 – 3 years of experience as a leader in a high volume automotive/manufacturing environment is required.

4. Mold experience preferred.

5. Strong leadership and facilitation skills; Basic computer skills; Strong oral and written communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills; Excellent attention to detail; Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Ability to work in a team environment and with various departments; Excellent attendance and dependability; Knowledge of industry OSHA requirements.
