Provides administrative and programmatic support to the Mental Health/Psych department in support of the unit and agency mission.
Updates and maintains records, files and automated databases.
Maintains institutional mental health records in compliance with IOP’s and medical protocols.
Assists with scheduling mental health/therapy sessions, programs, and groups for offenders.
Prepares copies of relevant documentation, maintains files, emails documentation and answers telephone calls.
This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12 month period of May 1 – April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.

Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to research and analyze data in order to reach logical conclusions and prepare routine reports.
Considerable recent experience providing customer service and administrative support to include word processing, filing and other related duties in a professional office setting.
Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel to accomplish office support requirements.
Demonstrated skill in inputting data into an automated database other than Microsoft Office.
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information in a courteous manner.
Demonstrated ability to set up and maintain automated and manual filing systems.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret court orders and release/discharge documents.
Working knowledge of policies and procedures related to offender records maintenance and processes.
Demonstrated ability to create spreadsheets to track data.
Administrative experience in a healthcare, criminal justice, court, or law office setting.
Previous clerical experience in a medical, mental health, counseling, or psychiatric environment.
Working knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records.

Prefer post-secondary courses in business administration, psychology, mental health, social work, counseling, healthcare/medical administration, information systems or equivalent training in a related field.
