Essilor of America, Inc. (Essilor), is the leading manufacturer and wholesaler of prescription lenses in the United States. We currently have a Transportation Project Manager career opportunity at our Dallas, TX location.

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Transportation Project Manager will be responsible for managing the execution of several projects related to Network / Distribution / Transportation in North America. They will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and according to plan. Will be directly in contact with Logistics Leadership team to develop and implement strategic actions that will lead the company to the future.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Tracks project performance specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long term;
  • Develops Business Cases to propose projects to improve service and/or improve Company profitability
  • Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Meets budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Develops comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  • Manages and control cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models in each project;
  • Utilizes quantitative skills to create and analyze reports to support Projects execution;
  • Develops business tools and solutions based on knowledge, product or technology;
  • Provides recommendations to senior managements;
  • Meets Budget objectives and make adjustments to project constrains based on financial analysis
  • Uses and continually develop leadership skills.
  • Manages the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Performs risk management to minimize project risks
  • Tracks and presents to Sr Management Status of all the projects in the perimeter

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of transportation, logistics and/ or related supply chain experience
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills
  • Assembling and Leading teams
  • Disciplined and Organized
  • Ability to clarify and resolve complex business issues by breaking them down into meaningful components to determine root cause and redesigning internal and external business processes
  • Ability to write, speak, and present clearly and succinctly across a variety of communication settings and adjusts communication style to the audience by translating and articulating technical concepts to non-technical groups
  • Demonstrates originality and imagination in thinking while developing a solution to a problem
  • Utilizes fundamental concepts of finance to manage budgets, forecast costs, and provide information to account for the financial impact of decision-making

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration Degree Master's Degree
  • Logistics and analysis Experience
  • Excel and Powerpoint advanced skills
  • Alteryx, SQL and Visual Basic and Tableau is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,990.82 - $129,559.20 per year
