Job Title: Psychiatry RN

Location: Las Vegas, NV 89117

Duration:13 Weeks
Shift: Nights 3x12's - every other weekend
Guaranteed hours a week: 36

Local rate: $5 less.

Summary:

• Demonstrates leadership in organizing the delivery of patient care in an acute psychiatric setting for patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
• Executes nursing procedures according to policy.
• Interacts with and assists in teaching patients.
• Serves as a nursing resource for staff.
• Documents pertinent information accurately, timely and legibly.
• Functions as a medication nurse.
• Attends mandatory in-services.
• Provides continuous nursing care for patients utilizing the nursing process.
• Assumes responsibility for professional development and ongoing education.
• Maintains a professional appearance and attitude.
• Serve actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
• Promotes a positive work environment by demonstrating respect and tolerance for age, gender, race and choice of lifestyle.
• Participates in the performance improvement programs.
• Promotes safety by attending mandatory in-services.

Skills:

• 1 year of inpatient psych experience

Education:

• BLS
• Valid NV nursing license
