We are looking for a qualified Recreation Programmer to join our PRCS team! As Recreation Programmer you will employ your unique skill to create community outreach efforts, recruit participants and/or volunteers, purchases program materials, maintain facilities, and administers the related operations and budget for assigned program and area. A successful candidate will be motivated to create, manage and provide new programs to a diverse community.
PRCS serves a diverse and inclusive population including but not limited to youth, adults, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.
We are currently hiring for Recreation Programmer at the following location(s):
Sterling Community Center, Sterling VA
Primary responsibilities include:
Develops marketing plan and manage program budget
Recruits, train volunteers, monitors participants and patrons
Conducts community education and outreach programs
Coordinates and monitor special events
Create fliers, promotional materials to promote programs
Schedule operations programs
Inventory management
Implement a variety of programs, activities, classes and special events to serve all segments of a diverse population
May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment

Job Requirements
Any combination of education and experience to a High School diploma.
Two years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in recreation, programming and/or supervision children.
Salary Commensurate with Experience

Bi-lingual Spanish and English
Post Conditional Offer Contingencies
Successfully pass CPS, fingerprinting, and criminal background checks
Provide negative TB test result within 30 days of hire
Obtain CPR/First Aid certification for adult, infant and child within four (4) months of hire
