Columbia Allergy has a full-time Registered Nurse-RN position to work in our Tigard,OR office.
Columbia Allergy we care for adult and pediatric patients who battle life threatening or life altering medical conditions. Your experience with patient care, peripheral access, exceptional assessment and triage skills will help bring quality patient care to our communities. Hours:
Monday thru Thursday, or Monday - Friday no weekends. Hours may vary depending on patient flow.
Compensation: Market competitive wages based on work experience and education
Responsibilities:
An estimated 70% of our time is spent in direct patient care including, but not limited to: obtaining a detailed medical history, performing lung function testing, placing and interpreting allergy skin tests, administering injections, facilitating oral challenges, assisting with procedures, and providing patient education.
Roughly 20% of our time is spent on patient phone calls, pharmacy faxes, obtaining insurance approvals, scheduling medication shipments, reviewing charts, and completing school forms.
About 10% of our time is spent opening and closing the clinic each day, which includes restocking supplies, performing quality control tests, calibrating instruments, and sanitizing equipment
Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered Washington RN license
- Active, unencumbered Oregon RN license preferred but not required
- Experience with Allergy and Asthma preferred but not required
- BLS/CPR certification obtained within 30 days of hire
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively as a team member
- Professional demeanor with a focus on accurate, efficient, and comprehensive patient care
- Kind, upbeat, and positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Punctual and reliable attendance
