Job description
The Resort Operations Manager assists in overseeing all the events, activities and operations in a hotel. They make all the necessary decisions needed in their assigned department, primarily within the Rooms Division/Guest Services department and ensure all hotel rules and policies are implemented. Ideal candidates will have prior hospitality management experience and food & beverage management experience.
- Monthly responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting with month end procedures
- Participate in the annual operational budget development with primary responsibility of creating the day by day budget projections
- Ensures that all rate plan and code configurations are created and tracked in a timely fashion
- Monitor and track contracted trade outs between the hotel and approved vendors
- Focus on achieving all guest satisfaction and/or customer service goals
- Assist with teaching and training of staff to use basic guest resolution techniques and skills
- Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher education Hotel Administration, Business Administration or related field, Or an equivalent of experience and education
- Three years guest service/hotel related experience required with at least two years in a General Manager capacity
- Ability to learn and understand the hotel’s property management system (PMS) in order to become proficient with its reports and overall PMS features
