We are looking for candidates to fill a Full time and part time Café Team position at our Kent cafe (Kent address, but on the edge of Tukwila). Full time shifts are Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm. Part time shifts are Thursday and Friday, typically between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m with Flexibility to pickup extra shifts as needed. NO WEEKEND SHIFTS

Café Team Responsibilities:

• Processing customer transactions at registers.
• Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as coffee and tea; correctly customizes orders as requested.
• Prepares and serves hot and cold food and baked goods.
• Describes product details to customers.
• Ensures customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Café cleaning tasks, such as, washing dishes, sweeping, moping, and trash disposal.
• Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
• Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
• Stocks supplies and retail products.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Café Team Job Requirements:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
• Good attitude and receptive to feedback.
• Current Food Handler's Permit or the ability to get one.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to move and work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift 30 lbs. occasionally.
• Energetic, positive, and task oriented.
• Adaptable to a changing environment and able to take on new tasks as needed.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Be punctual.
• Be able to work early in the morning.
• Previous food service or barista experience a plus but not required.

Compensation:

$16.50/ hour + tips

• Paid Time Off begins to accrue upon hire. Employees may begin to use any accrued time off after 90 days of employment.
