RQM Compliance RN
The RQM Compliance RN is responsible for managing compliance responsibilities with consistent excellence that supports the PPIL team. This position will focus on maintaining a knowledge base for all regulatory compliance and accreditation requirements as well as communicating changes to leadership, developing assessment tools and conducting clinical audits, and collaborating with the Clinical Operations and RQM teams to model, teach and improve the culture of safety at PPIL.
Essential Functions
Maintain current knowledge base on all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Monitor and communicate changes and provide guidance and support to leadership regarding adherence to Federal, State and local regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, CDPH, IDPH, OSHA, Title X, HRSA, HHS, medical and pharmacy, PPFA and PPIL policies and guidelines, and third-party payer requirements and reporting.
In collaboration with key stakeholders, conduct clinical audits, assess patient safety and quality of care delivery based on current regulations. Develop and coordinate implementation of tools and techniques to improve patient safety and quality of care.
Maintain and update PPIL Infection Control Manual. Develop infection control assessment tools and perform on-site audits as scheduled.
Organize and lead PPIL Infection Prevention meetings.
Conduct new initiative and in-service training as needed.
Participate in clinical policy and procedure development.
Provide written and verbal communication to external organizations and agencies as assigned. Ensure completeness and accuracy of submission of required data to appropriate organizations.
Collaborate with the Clinical Operations team and the RQM team to model, teach, and improve upon the culture of safety.
Assist with investigations and root cause analysis.
In coordination with the Purchasing and Business Intelligence teams, investigate and manage drug and device recalls.
Provide training on RQM related topics during new hire orientation and manager trainings.
Participate in health center manager meetings, RQM Committee meetings, and Clinical Quality Committee meetings.
Travel between health centers is necessary. Reliable transportation is a requirement.
Understand, commit to and practice a market and consumer-oriented approach in all activities.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisor: Senior Director of Risk, Quality Management, and Patient Safety
Status: Full-time, non-exempt from the overtime provisions of wage and salary regulations.
Qualifications:
Education: A Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Illinois. Practical experience with Electronic Health Records required.
Strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills. Previous experience, either professional or volunteer, in a family planning/reproductive health setting is very helpful. An understanding and commitment to the operating goals of Planned Parenthood is essential.
A self-starter, with the ability to organize and maintain large amounts of diverse information. Strong interpersonal skills required, and a willingness to relate to many different types of people. Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule that may require evening and weekend hours. Travel between health centers is necessary; reliable transportation is a requirement.
This position requires interaction with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, demonstrated ability to work effectively and meet deadlines in high-pressure situations, and good judgment. The RQM Compliance RN must bring a positive “can-do” attitude, be flexible, have attention to detail, have strong decision-making ability, and work well both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
