JOB SUMMARY
The RN Clinic Manager is responsible for managing all clinical aspects within the assigned clinic(s) to provide excellence in customer service, quality, cost, and deliver positive performance in alignment with the strategy, goals, and values of the NCH Physician Group. The scope of responsibility encompasses a broad range of clinical and operational items including patient and employee relations, implementation of new clinical programs and technology, workflow evaluation and training, performance improvement, personnel recruitment and management, clinical triage, supply and equipment management and oversight of the clinic budgets. The RN Clinic Manager serves as a liaison between providers, clinic staff and administrative leaders to coordinate the day-to-day clinical operations. This position works in close cooperation with an administrative dyad partner and Regional and Senior
Administrators, however, must exhibit initiative and independent action in accomplishing their job duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation within areas as assigned.
- Oversees all procedures and processes in assigned practices.
- Participates in the development of the clinical areas strategic and operational plans in collaboration with providers and organizational leaders.
- Evaluates and leads implementation of new clinical programs, equipment and/or technology within the division and tracks and reports outcomes. Reports data to appropriate regulatory agencies and/or disease specific registries.
- Coordinates clinical conferences with internal and community clinicians to include case review and presentation, scheduling, and preparation of conference materials for appropriate specialty.
- Develops and implements process improvement activities that drive results to improve patient safety and clinical quality.
- Supervises assignment and clinical workload of medical assistants, LPNs, RN, navigators, and other clinical staff within the department.
- Monitors patient volume, throughput and enhances patient flow within the clinic(s)
- Recruits, hires, trains, and evaluates clinical staff.
- Mentors and coaches team members in their professional development, creating a team approach that allows for cross training and coverage across the division and group.
- Coordinate staff training, continuing education and conducts regular team meetings and huddles.
- Leads and role models behaviors that create a positive patient experience; maintains a high level of professionalism.
- Participates in the development and monitoring of clinic budget.
- Maintains a safe clinic environment, conducting monthly and quarterly environment of care audits and implements corrective actions as needed.
- Develops strategies and materials for marketing of clinical services offered.
JOB DESCRIPTION
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field; Master’s Degree Preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of applied clinical experience as an RN, and 2 years of progressive leadership or healthcare management experience required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS Provider) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- National certification by area of specialty preferred.
- Excellent organizations, interpersonal, oral, and writing communication skills required.
- Exemplary leadership qualities.
- The ability to relate and deal effectively with physicians, administrators, support staff, and the general public with a high degree of tact and discretion is required.
- Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
