Senior Business Intelligence Developer Information Technology EHR – LCHS – Days

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer, maintains reports and related data extracts from EMR system, including clinical, billing, scheduling and registration systems. Works directly with administrative staff to answer questions, sets expectations, plans and implements products and services to meet user, enterprise reporting and data analysis needs. Performs analysis on various HCHB data models. Defines and designs data structures additions (views, distribution methods, intermediate tables and multidimensional cube). Maintains and promotes advanced knowledge of industry standards and best practices; ensures all deliverables adhere to HIPAA and IRB policies and procedures.

This is a full time day shift opportunity from 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday. This position is at NYP/Lawrence Community Health Services.

Preferred Criteria

• Degree or major in Computer Science
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Master’s Degree
• Knowledge of MS SQL Database, T-SQL scripting and database modeling
• Strong understanding of data design, architecture, relational databases and data modeling
• Fluency with rational and multidimensional concepts
• Ability to design, develop and integrate solutions across all systems
• Clear demonstration of technical, analytical, organizational, problem solving and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail, patience and a positive, customer centric attitude
• Demonstrated ability to develop proficiency with unfamiliar toolsets

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of previous work related experience
• Experience with data warehouses and health care EMR systems
• Business Intelligent toolset experience (Crystal reports, Cognos, Tableau, etc.)
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills, orientation to accuracy and detail, and ability to relate to relate to a variety of professional staff essential
