Job description

Boston University is looking for a compensation analyst to assist in the development and administration of the University's compensation programs. Provide day-to-day compensation administration to support schools, units, and departments. Assists departments with reviewing and updating position descriptions; perform market analyses and provide reports and data for compensation-related decisions. Review positions to ensure internal and external equity and FLSA compliance. Conduct and participate in multiple University and General Industry compensation market surveys.


Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, preferably in HR, business or related field.
  • CCP designation preferred or taking classes towards certification
  • Five+ years of experience in human resources (preferable compensation) and/or financial analytics
  • Previous higher education experience a plus!
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws relating to compensation and pay equity
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong problem solving, decision-making, organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with numbers and large volumes of data with accuracy and speed
  • Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, HRIS systems
  • Working knowledge of SAP and MarketPay preferred
