Fiskars is searching for a Senior Finance Director, Sales Americas to join our amazing team in Middleton, WI!
About the Role:
The Finance Senior Director delivers financial leadership and strategic insight supporting the execution of strategies in Sales Americas. This role is a key business partner for the Chief Sales Officer and SVP, Sales Americas as well as S&OP, category management, marketing, sales operations, and BA finance teams.
The person holding this position is accountable for the provision of all financial services, including financial planning, management reporting, margin analysis, account receivables analysis, business opportunity evaluation, pricing and strategy support & statutory compliance, with the support of finance professionals in the team as well as within our finance shared services in the Americas.
This role will provide inspiring and empowering leadership according to Fiskars leadership values and processes. Occasional travel is expected. This position reports to the Chief Sales Officer / President Americas. Location of this position is Middleton, WI
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Accountable for business partnering and control for sales organization; Contributing to strategic planning & business decision making.
  • Responsible for quarterly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting
  • Create “one sales finance” across legal entities and Business Areas; implement best practices, synergies and efficiencies within the organization.
  • Responsible for the monthly rolling forecast and budgeting; financial follow up on budgets and other KPIs.
  • Analyzing business measures and deviations against KPIs, communicating opportunities and risks, and leading the development of action plans
  • Accountability of providing leadership for sales and finance community within given geographical scope, providing direction for the team by formulating strategies to drive performance and by prioritizing and making timely decisions.
  • Inspiring, developing and coaching individuals and team to drive our business further both within own team and the Sales team.
  • Owning the execution of Finance annual clock related activities in the Sales Unit, including/focus on financial planning
  • Contributing to the long-term strategy process of the Sales Unit as well as the Business Areas. Providing insight & collaborate with the local teams to drive actions in line with our values & strategic execution.
  • Project work, addressing SU or country related finance topics and/ or global project work as needed.
  • Co-ownership of the SA Financial results together with the Chief Sales Offices / President Americas
What You Can Bring to the Organization:
Education: BA in Accounting or Finance or equivalent, master’s degree preferred
Experience & knowledge:
  • 10+ years, including team management and leadership experience.
  • Seasoned finance and accounting management skills, proficiency in statutory & controlling environment as well as in business leadership.
  • Focus on continuous improvement to challenge and elevate sales team performance.
  • International business experience, proficiency working across countries and work streams.
  • Experience working and in multi-currency environment.
  • Experience in a fast paced, multi-channel consumer goods company
  • Strong technical understanding of HFM and SAP is a plus, as well as Business Intelligence reporting tools experience (Tableau, BW, PowerBI)
Language skills:
  • Fluent English as a company language required
This position is out of our Middleton, WI office and will be a Hybrid (onsite/remote) role.
