The implementation of the Workday initiative has created a significant burden across the company as processes and HR integrations that were well defined have had significant changes. These changes have impacted both the integrating systems as well as many subsequent downstream systems that use HR data. Nowhere is this more evident than with DCL, which due to its unique business needs leverages Workday much differently than the rest of the company. This role will assist with the triage, coordination, consolidation, and business communication of Workday related tasks to assist with stabilization of the product over the next year. The chosen candidate will need to elicit, analyze, validate, and document business organizational and operational requirements. Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for the organization. Facilitate testing with the busines stakeholders. Communicate desired business direction to the IT organization. Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business units and the organization from initial requirements to final implementation. Ability to lead in the delivery and coordination all project documentation and define processes and procedures as they relate to the overall project objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides leadership, business guidance and oversight.
Leads in complex analysis, providing guidance and oversight.
Provides business analysis process expertise to business customers.
Takes a lead role in developing business analysis best practices for the organization.
Mentors team members on application of best practices and standards.
Recommends improvements to processes and technology that improve the effectiveness of the team.
Supports pre-project business problem elicitation, feasibility and business case definition for large or complex projects.
Works with the business to determine the real issue that needs to be solved or the opportunity to do things differently.
Develops highly complex business cases, in particular ensuring benefits align to strategic and tactical business objectives.
Supports the business in business, technical and financial feasibility assessments.
Provides advice and recommendations on emerging trends which will be useful to both the business and IT in the delivery of the projects.
Gathers business requirements for large or complex projects.
Works with the business to capture and document requirements (both functional and non-functional) using a range of techniques such as workshop facilitation, document analysis, sites visits, use cases, scenario modeling, task and workflow analysis.
Ensures business requirements are concise, complete, specific, and unambiguous and that they are aligned to the strategic and tactical goals of the project and the business.
Combines all business requirements into a clear, managed, prioritized backlog (agile) or business requirements document (waterfall).
Refines these business requirements to a sufficient level of detail to allow Architects and Software Engineers to design and implement appropriate solutions.
Provides refined requirements into project iterations in time to allow design/delivery to commence.
Manages the scope and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that they are understood by the project team and met by the delivered solutions.
Performs process modeling for large or complex projects.
Required
Four-year degree in field such as Information Technology, Business, or similar field or related work experience.
Significant experience (7+ years) as a Business Analyst across a number of large, complex projects.
Extensive experience in business analysis techniques, such as information gathering methods, requirements documentation, process modeling and process mapping.
Strong understanding of all stages in a project lifecycle and delivery approaches, e.g. waterfall, agile, etc.
The hiring range for this position in Florida is $129,560.00-$173,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
