Qualifications:

We’re looking for a Senior User Experience Designer (5+ years relevant experience) to join our DUMBO, Brooklyn office. The Sr UX Designer will report to the Director of User Experience and help design websites that meet users’ needs and enhance their experience. In this role, you’re responsible for leading discovery activities, competitive analysis, wireframing, interactive prototyping, user testing and analysis. The Sr UX Designer works collaboratively with a team of project managers, designers and developers.

A strong portfolio of successful UX projects is essential.

What you’ve done:

• Developed an expertise at understanding product specifications and user psychology
• Audited website experiences for usability issues and ecommerce optimization
• Interviewed business stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their goals
• Conducted concept and usability testing and gathered and synthesized feedback
• Created personas and user journeys through user research and data
• Developed low, medium, and high-fidelity wireframes using a user-centered design approach.
• Created clickable prototypes for usability testing
• Developed wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
• Identified creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
• Worked in close collaboration with both UX and UI designers
• Provided guidance and mentorship for junior team members
• Worked with designers to implement attractive designs
• Presented deliverables to client stakeholders and senior management
• Communicated design ideas and prototypes to developers
• Deep understanding and practice of design thinking and systems; ability to communicate design best practices, both visually and verbally across agency disciplines
• Continually updated your UX knowledge and skills, grounded in research and design industry standards
• Worked on mobile-first, responsive, accessible designs
• Thrived in an iterative workflow grounded in a test and learn environment, with an ability to receive feedback gracefully from clients, team members, and users

Position Details:

Hybrid work environment - every Wednesday in our DUMBO Brooklyn office

Salary Range - $115,000-$130,000 commensurate with experience
