The Shipping/Receiving and Quality Control Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods in and out of the organization while maintaining high-quality standards. This position involves handling shipping and receiving tasks, inspecting incoming and outgoing products for quality assurance, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The specialist will collaborate with various teams to facilitate smooth operations and provide exceptional customer service.

Job Duties

• Receive incoming shipments, verifying their accuracy and inspecting products for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and organization of received goods.
• Perform thorough quality control inspections on outgoing products, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
• Prepare and package items for shipment, considering appropriate packaging materials and methods to prevent damage during transit.
• Accurately record and maintain inventory data, including quantities, locations, and product details, using electronic or manual systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipments, inventory, or quality concerns.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers and schedule pickups or deliveries to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving area to optimize efficiency and safety.
• Assist in the resolution of customer inquiries or concerns regarding shipments, product quality, or delivery schedules.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards throughout all shipping, receiving, and quality control processes.

Background Profile

• Previous experience in shipping/receiving and quality control is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate inspections.
• Knowledge of quality control methodologies and experience in performing quality checks on products.
• Ability to use calipers and tape measure
