Summary/Objective: The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for the shipment of product to customers both internationally and domestically. The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for the accuracy of shipments and meeting all documented service requirements. This person plans, orders and directs all activities within the Shipping Department. This position reports to the Shipping Manager.

Essential Functions:

• Provide immediate supervision to a group of 5-10 employees, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals
• Ensures shipments are aligned to customer standards, as detailed in the system, prior to leaving facility
• Maintains Identify opportunities for enhancement and suggest ways of improvement to top management of the organization
• Decide the load limit of each truck used in the loading and delivery process
• Read shipping notices, invoices, orders, and other documents so as to determine priorities and shipping methods that are needed to meet schedule
• Ensure the availability of stock so as to reduce shortages
• Working relationships with transportation representatives, vendors and suppliers to ensure cost control and competitiveness
• Promotes a safe work environment and ensures that all employees in the Shipping Department are following safety rules and regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• PM shift, night availability
• 3+ years of warehouse experience
• Bi-lingual required
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

• $64,480 – 70,000 per year
