Amentum is seeking a Specialized Administrative and Program Support. The AA independently accomplishes general or routine office administrative tasks. The AA should have the expertise and qualifications to accomplish moderately complex administrative tasks with minimal guidance and assistance. Depending on the customer office, some tasks can be more dynamic (i.e., less routine) and challenging than other tasks

Responsibilities:

  • The Contractor shall have knowledge of the legislative process, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to the Department of Defense (DoD). This includes a solid grasp of the Authorization and Appropriations process and how they affect the DCSA mission and operations.
  • Knowledge of the legislative process, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to the DoD. This includes a solid grasp of the Authorization and Appropriations process and how they affect the DCSA mission and operations. Supports the legislative Liaison by crafting the Congressional Weekly Status Reports (WSR). The WSR is an informational document that notifies DCSA stakeholders of current legislative actions and news that impacts the DCSA mission.
  • Tracks legislative Bills that are of interest to DCSA through all legislative stages, committees, and offices as they progress through the Congress for passage and are signed into law.
  • Possess and understanding of the U.S. Senate and House Members’ interests in the areas of Armed Services, Appropriations, Homeland Security, and Intelligence Committees, as they related to the DoD.
  • Have the ability to use Legislative analytical research skills to include Congressional Quarterly, Roll Call, THOMAS, and LexisNexis.
  • Support the scheduling of any visits between DCSA and Members of Congress and Congressional staff members. Assist in coordinating all aspects of visits to include assisting with briefing topics, transportation arrangements, development of itineraries, escorting visitors, and overseeing appropriate protocol extended to Congress visitors.
  • Actively support dynamic DCSA social media program by developing topics of Twitter and Facebook. Adheres to DoD guidelines for public release of information in developing social media items. Under the guidance of Office of Communications and Congressional Affairs (OCCA) or the Privacy, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Civil Liberties staff, formats tweets and Facebook posting that highlights DCSA events, activities, and programs. Ensures each links to DCSA external website, further highlighting the DCSA mission.
  • Provide editorial support for the DCSA official magazine, DCSA ACCESS. Formulates questions, author’s articles and takes photographs in support for the DCSA official magazine, DCSA ACCESS.
  • Assists with external meetings conducted by OCCA; handles various duties before, during, and after the meetings.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (at a minimum) and two years of experience related to the requirements. (Substitution of a bachelor’s degree is allowable if the personnel have six years of related worked experience in addition to the two years of experience required for the category. For the substitution to be allowable, at total of eight years of experience would be required to meet the minimum requirements).
  • Additionally, all personnel shall have superior oral and written communications skills, as well as a good command of the English Language.

Preferred:

  • Intermediate to high proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams.
  • Familiarity with the Defense Travel System (DTS) and timekeeping management program is a plus.
