Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has a job opportunity for a full time Systems Safety Engineer in Newport, RI

Summary: Provide systems safety engineering services for operational submarine payload, missile, launcher, platform and support systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and update safety assessment reports, hazard assessment reports, program plans, test plans, accident and mishap reports.
• Perform operational analyses and conduct studies to identify potential deficiencies in procedures and documentation as well as make recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare and review Technical Data Packages, Safety Assessment Reports and other systems safety documentation
• Review requirements documentation for safety considerations and make design recommendations.
• Generate, review, and modify Engineering Change Proposal’s (ECPs)
• Prepare presentation material and post summary reports for all safety related meetings
• Collaborate with government personnel and vendors throughout the development of weapons systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum education requirement is a Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3 years of relevant engineering or systems safety experience
• Knowledge of DoD Engineering processes
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have an ACTIVE SECRET level security clearance or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
• Effective team player with highly proficient customer service skills.
• Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with U.S. Navy organizations, functional missions, environment and programs.
• Experience in system safety analysis, risk management, or hazard analysis

Physical Requirements:

• Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
• Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
• Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, and may occasionally lift and move at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation, if required
