Education and Experience Required:
- Required is a High School diploma or greater
- Self-motivated
- Have reliable transportation
- Arrive ready to work and on time
- Able to work alone or in a team environment
- Maintain a valid license, and clean driving record are required
- Possess a mathematical aptitude for standard algebraic equations
- Possess a computer aptitude including hardware and software
- Adhere to OSHA job site safety requirements
- Pass a pre-hire drug screening
The physical activities described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. Ability to frequently lift or carry 20 to 50 pounds. Individuals may need to ride or drive in a vehicle for 2 or more hours at a time depending on position. Individuals working at an outside job site may be exposed to varying temperatures including very hot (above 90 degrees F) or very cold (below 32 degrees F) and all weather conditions. Individuals may be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. Performing this job requires frequent use of hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Must be able to sit, talk, hear, and frequently stand throughout the day. Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently. The position occasionally may require lifting heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The position may require working ten-hour shifts and can work twelve hour days when job/business needs demand.
Summary
Level I technicians work on a team to deliver the successful completion of test and balancing projects. Level I will work under the direction of a TAB technician, project manager, or lead technician.
- Follow all internal and external safety policies
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Assist in performing the test, adjust and balance work on projects
- Assist lead technician in the documentation of the test and balance report
- Assist in preparing preliminary and final field balancing logs
- Assist in preparing written reports regarding system installation function and design deficiencies
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
- Keeping track of time sheet information and expense reports
- Expand knowledge through self-study and in company training programs
