The UPS Store Team Member is responsible to deliver world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, point-of-sale devices, scales, and other office equipment. The Team Member expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options. The Team Member exhibits confidence by knowing best practices as related to the center.

The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor and smile, as well as a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. He or she is driven to succeed and is a trustworthy and energetic team-player with ownership mentality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and email/telephone inquiries
• Takes ownership of each customer's needs and offers viable solutions
• Communicates effectively and continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
• Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience
• Frequently multi-tasks while maintaining extreme attention to detail and high quality control
• Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
• Takes action to learn all current and new product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
• Performs other duties as assigned

• You will be required to operate scales, binding equipment, copiers, point-of-sale devices, laminating machines, fax machines, computer software, and other equipment. Do you have the skills or aptitude to operate (or quickly learn to operate) equipment such as this?
