This position is for clinical staff with specialty training in specific clinical approaches, including trauma services such as EMDR or Somatic Experiencing, grief, sexual compulsion, psychodrama, or other areas requiring specialty training and certification. The Specialty Therapists work to identify appropriate recipients for their services and provide these services to identified residents.

Your Job as an EMDR Therapist:

  • Facilitate individual EMDR sessions for identified residents
  • Complete timely documentation for clinical notes including individual notes and treatment plan updates.
  • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and work effectively with medical, nursing, integrative, case management, specialty therapists, and residential staff to contribute to a comprehensive treatment plan and continuing care recommendations for residents on your caseload.
  • Facilitate process-oriented and/or psychoeducational groups and lectures according to your area of expertise.
  • Facilitate weekly individual sessions for identified resident as appropriate for your area of expertise.
  • Assist the team to identify and schedule appropriate residents for your clinical groups and individual sessions.
  • Contribute to the treatment plan and weekly treatment plan updates for each resident on your caseload.
  • Complete timely documentation for clinical notes including assessments, group notes, individual notes, treatment plans, and treatment plan updates.
  • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and work effectively with medical, nursing, integrative, case management, specialty therapists, and residential staff to provide and deliver a comprehensive treatment plan and continuing care recommendations for residents on your caseload.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other therapeutic field is required.
  • 4+ years’ experience as a therapist with 2+ years’ experience with the specific population of the facility is required.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • State or national licensure for professional therapy providers required.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $33.12 per hour
