Time Radon and Mold Testing Technician
Job description
A lpine Building Performance, LLC i s seeking an entry level Radon and Mold Testing Technician. N o prior experience is
n eeded and all training and certifications will be performed on the job. As our Radon and Mold Testing Technician you
will be driving throughout the Denver Metro area on a daily basis to set and collect radon tests kits for our clients. You
will also be collecting air samples for mold testing at select locations as well. Mold air tests are typically conducted in
conjunction with the radon test appointments. Work will be conducted independently with little interaction with the team
aside from appointment coordination and communication.
R adon is a naturally occurring, harmful soil gas that is present in over 50% of Colorado homes and buildings. Radon gas
can slowly impact the health of a home’s inhabitant. By conducting both radon and mold air tests, you will help identify
the potentially harmful effects before someone moves into their home. We are looking for a self-starter that’s eager to
build and grow their reputation for the highest quality of customer service through these important field services with our

The Owner is an InterNACHI Certified Master Home Inspector and Home Energy Auditor. He was awarded the Denver
Metro Association of REALTORS 2022 Industry Partner of the year. He holds a B.S in Building Science and Construction
Management from Appalachian State University and continues to build on 10 years of experience in the home building,
home inspection, remodeling and energy efficiency consulting industries. In this position, you will be working side by
s ide getting top-notch training and guidance as you help grow the company. ABP is bringing a modern approach to the
industry, while retaining timeless customer service values and quality home inspections.
Location: The position is primarily field based and will require a significant amount of travel within the Denver Metro
Area. Operations will be conducted from Denver’s one and only construction focused co-working space, Tradecraft
Industries located at 6145 Broadway Denver, CO 80216.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (or higher)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments
- W illingness and ability to pass NRSB Radon Measurement Technician Exam
- W illingness and ability to learn quickly with guided training
- Willingness to obtain mold test training
- Ability to pass all employment screening (Required to authorize background and driving record check)
- E ffective use of personal computer and Windows operating system, including Microsoft Office applications (Word,
G oogle Workspace products such as google docs.
- M ust be able to learn and effectively use Spectora Reporting software to organize scheduling entries. Training on
- Must be able to learn and effectively use SunRadon Reporting software to produce reports. Training on the software
- Must be able to learn and effectively use our radon testing machines. Training on the use of these machines will be
- Must be able to learn and effectively manage our fleet of radon testing machines including sending in machines for
- M ust be able to learn and effectively use our mold testing equipment. Training on the use of these machines will be
- Strong time management and organizational skills

- Ability to work well in small team with sometimes very limited direction

- Have the aptitude and mental ability to problem solve and conduct professional conversations with real estate

- Understand the importance of quality and consistent customer service
- Must have a reliable vehicle, maintain it in a clean and professional manner, with registration up to date. Must be
able to transport radon inspection equipment which will fit in any vehicle.
- The position requires a significant amount of local travel within the Denver Metro Area
- M ust possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license, a clean driving record and auto insurance
- M ust be comfortable working in a startup environment
- D emonstrate a high energy level and ability to engage others
- Ability to work in fast paced setting with constant change and different responsibilities
- Able to handle a demanding schedule and communicate your own needs
- Understand and thrive in a small business under the guidance of an entrepreneur
- Willingness to help in ad hoc tasks such as thank you card writing or shuttling equipment to our inspectors
