The role of the Tour Guide is to effectively communicate information about Dezerland Orlando Auto Museum in an entertaining and informative manner.
Job Functions:
- Conduct auto museum tours
- Welcome each visitor in a courteous manner as they begin their tour
- Escort groups through the museum
- Ensure the safety of all visitors
- Assist with special requests/ duties as assigned
- Answer any questions visitors might have of vehicles
- Notify security of anyone that might be harming vehicles
- Assisting Dezerland Greeters when necessary
- Upsell VIP tours
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum two years related work experience and/or training in customer service
- Public speaking/theatrical performance experience preferred
- Ability to become knowledgeable on all aspects of vehicles in museum
- Provide exceptional customer service to Dezerland visitors
- Possess the ability to conduct all interactions in a professional manner
- Ability to consistently demonstrate a positive and team-oriented attitude
- Must be comfortable speaking to a large and diverse audience
- Maintain a professional image and demeanor at all times
- Possess excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Ability to be flexible with schedule and daily assignments including weekends, holidays and evenings
- Able to stand or walk long distances for extended periods of time
- General knowledge of Automobiles is a plus
- Bilingual – Spanish is a plus
