Requirements for employment:

Driver's License, Pass a Background Check, Drug Test, and TB Skin Test

1. Carry out the Plan of Care (POC) and the daily routine in accordance with orientation training and in a manner preferred by the client whenever possible.

2. Provide all services in a compassionate, positive, and respectful manner.

3. Provide protective oversight especially to clients with dementia who may wander or engage in activities that may be unwise or unsafe,

4. Complete household chores including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping, emptying trash, changing linens, washing dishes, laundry, and meal preparation.

5. Report any changes in client function, appearance, or behavior that could mean professional services are needed.

6. If a client asks for services that are not in the written POC or daily routine and those services can be completed during the shift, complete any additional service UNLESS doing so would violate client health or safety OR is expressly prohibited by the POC or supervisor instruction.

7. Engage the client in activities and conversations that are meaningful to him/her.

8. Distract or re-direct the client from unsafe or upsetting conversations, circumstances, or activities.

9. Always maintain strict client confidentiality.

10. Always pay attention to client; keep distractions (cell phone, TV) to a minimum.

11. Report any safety concerns observed in the client(s) home.

12. Report client complaints to supervisor as well as steps are taken to resolve the complaint.

13. Carry out oral or written instructions from the supervisor.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
