KeyLogic is currently seeking a UX/UI Programmer to support one of our Department of Energy contracts in the Albuquerque, NM area.

Currently, this position is onsite in Albuquerque. The selected candidate must be able to reliably commute or be open to relocating to the Albuquerque area. If offered the position, a government background investigation would be required for a security clearance. Since this position falls under the Department of Energy, the clearance does require exclusive US Citizenship (i.e., no dual citizenship).

UX/UI Programmer Overview

As a UX/UI Programmer, you will work with the Science & Engineering Computing Environment Services team who provide computing capabilities and in-depth support for scientific and engineering applications. The department partners with other organizations and teams across the Laboratories to deliver user environments, subject matter expert support, and application-level software and tools to the scientific and engineering communities. CEE is a computing environment that sets a solid IT foundation for engineers and scientists at Sandia.

Responsibilities

• Work will be primarily performed on site with some off-site work therefore candidate must reside in the Albuquerque area.
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look
• Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images

Qualifications

• Experience with Angular
• Support front-end User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) efforts and web development activities
• Experience with frameworks such as React, TypeScript or JavaScript
• Software development skills in a Linux based environment
• Experience with Kubernetes & Docker
• Meet with the team to discuss work progress and brainstorm solutions
• Experience with coding languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and others
• Command of advanced application languages such as Ruby, PHP, Java, XHTML, Dot Net, Ajax, and others
• Knowledge of Flash, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and others
• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience, in lieu of a Bachelor's degree 6 years of relevant experience or with an Associate's degree and 3 years of relevant experience in addition to the 8 years' experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $133,000.00 per year
