Admissions Assistant Position Summary

Support the Admissions Director at our 231 bed Nursing and Rehab Center to achieve monthly census goals for occupancy and quality mix. Works collaboratively to support the marketing functions of the Nursing Center.

Responsibilities of the Admissions Assistant include but not limited to:

  • Manage inquiries from hospitals, families and external referral sources.
  • Process the referrals for the Director of Admissions.
  • Presents referrals for admission to the Admission Director and/or Administrator.
  • Accept intake information for prospective applicants for admissions.
  • Coordinate tours.
  • Coordinate admissions with the Director of Admissions, Social Worker and the Nursing Department.

Qualifications

One to two years related experience and/or training in long term care. Must be able to deal respectfully with staff, residents, visitors and other health care providers. Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and 3rd party payer clinical and financial guidelines and experience in long term care admissions and discharge procedures preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
