About The Team: Audience Development

We are seeking a results-oriented individual to join our Audience Development team as a Discord Community Manager supporting Crunchyroll.

We hope to attract someone who is self-motivated, capable, and eager to learn. If you are interested in marketing, the anime community, and never having two days feel the same, this might be the job for you! This role calls for friendly, outgoing individuals who have a community mindset and are familiar with the ins and outs of Discord. About You:

• 2-4 years of experience in digital community management, social media marketing, or similar fields
• Robust knowledge of Discord
• Ability to conceptualize and execute engagement campaigns for digital communities
• Strong familiarity with anime and the anime fandom community
• "A person of the internet" with a strong understanding of social personas
• Outstanding communications skills
• Ability to interpret and follow brand guidelines precisely
• A keen eye for attention to detail, excellent grammar
• Basic to intermediate experience with social media analytics to advise on Discord content strategy
• Work with a can-do mindset, ready to jump on new opportunities and be fast and flexible to get the job done while maintaining acute attention to detail

A day in the life of our Discord Community Associate Manager (Contract):

• Moderate and maintain discussions on the official Crunchyroll Discord server to encourage the right tone and ensure all Community posts and comments follow guidelines
• Work with Crunchyroll's social media team on messaging for all announcements and campaigns
• Oversee and work with moderators and admins
• Promote positive user engagement in collaboration with Sr Manager of English Community Marketing by creating frequent community engagement campaigns such as:
• Anime series discussions
• Editorial highlights (seasonal launches, quizzes, etc.)
• 360 discussions (Store, Crunchyroll Expo)
• Sweepstakes, Rewards, Recognition
• Product feedback
• When appropriate, respond to commonly asked questions with answers that adhere to Crunchyroll standards; Relay information in an easy-to-digest manner that is intended for a broad audience
• Support refining community management policies in collaboration with the Crunchyroll Social Media team including but not limited to: banned terms, anti-bullying measures, discord joining procedures
• Manage and merge threads to ensure that the server is easy to navigate and that pulling insights is a simple task for business users
• Communicate real-time issues with detail and precision
• Identify and communicate community trends and improvements to appropriate teams
• Manage a team of volunteer moderators to ensure always-on support, provide feedback and direction to the team
• Share weekly sentiment reports on important topics that are actively being discussed by the Crunchyroll Discord community
• Exude real empathy and passion for our customers and our product
