The Brand Manager will manage the SeroVital brand to win in the marketplace and drive growth in all channels.
Key Responsibilities
INNOVATION STRATEGY
- Lead 3-year innovation strategy and brand calendar for SeroVital supplements, hair products, and skincare by leveraging insights and analytics in support of strategic direction, priorities, and market share objectives
- Utilize sales data, market trends, and consumers insights to develop to develop a product roadmap
- Manage product development pipeline including focus in fast-growing categories and subcategories, hero products, and brand-building channels
- Determine and execute white space opportunities based on findings from consumer insights and social listening
- Prepare Product Development briefs in partnership with PD identifying winning concepts and breakthrough innovation ideas
- Lead execution of product marketing strategy including product architecture, product launch, and go-to-market strategy
- Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share
- Lead new category launch strategies (positioning, pricing, distribution)
- Monitors competition (pricing changes, promotions, and new products)
GO-TO-MARKET STRATEGY
- Determine the distribution, marketing plan, and budget for launch plan
- Manage end-to-end launch process, from product selection to go-to-market strategies focused on the consumer journey to include mobile first, social first, and video first mindset
- Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to develop launch strategies and deliver product launches. Direct and partner for functional alignment and adherence to key project milestones.
- Nurture an environment of trust, accountability, and passion for wellness that encourages learning and rewards different perspectives
- Establish weekly priorities and deliverables
- Determine use of brand ambassadors in marketing, on shelf, at events, and any other out-of-the-box plans that support our retail partners and product sales
- Develop 360 execution strategy with cross functional groups (including marketing, sales, ecommerce, product development, and operations)
- Infuse superior storytelling (hero ingredients, claims…) to new product launches
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
- Lead cost of goods management; value analysis; implementation of feasibility approval process
- Lead pricing strategy
- Ensure innovation sufficiency and COGs efficiency to meet overall brand financial objectives, including pricing and SKU management
- Lead promotional planning for all channels
ACCOUNT SUPPORT
- Partner with sales to develop a formal promotional calendar and ordering process for promotional items in support of our marketing calendar
- Develop training programs and incentives for sales associates, regional managers, and call center agents
- Create signage, displays, POS, and other in store merchandising collateral to increase brand awareness and ultimately higher sell through
- Manage ordering trial sizes, GWPs, and samples for in store and online programs to encourage product trial with bounce back for purchase
QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree. MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of work experience incl. brand marketing (beauty background preferred)
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of dietary supplements and skincare in specialty, online, spas, and independent beauty stores
- Strong leadership, influence, organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Exceptional ability to motivate and develop top talent
