This job assumes responsibility for the strategic vision, long term planning, direction and overall accountability for patient care services; communicates and interprets organizational and departmental missions, goals, and objectives for all areas of responsibility; and provides leadership and direction in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities. Directs personnel in order to provide service to all customers. Service includes patient advocacy, while ensuring mechanisms for quality safety and compliance. Plans and controls the physical environment, materials, equipment and supplies to provide competitive cost effective care to patients. Coordination with executive administration and other interdisciplinary groups on for policy formation, performance Improvement, information systems and risk management is an expectation. Participates in and represents the hospital at community and professional activities to enhance customer service. Dedicated to Professional Development and training for nurses and ancillary staff at all levels of clinical employment. Evidenced Based Practice guides the clinical knowledge of this leader.

Education

Required - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or other health related focus

Work Experience
Required - 5 years Nursing experience in a hospital setting to including three years of successfully managing complex hospital and patient care delivery. Experience in areas of responsibility.

Certifications

Required - Current State of Louisiana Registered Nurse license
