Your Opportunity

The role of a CAD Designer is to work as a team member on large projects under close guidance and supervision. This role will have a chance to work on a wide array of projects in the industrial, residential, public, and commercial market sectors.

This role will be based out of our Charleston, SC office. It has the capability of hybrid (partly working from home).

Your Key Responsibilities

• Uses knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks including 2D and 3D model development, completing design changes, general arrangement drawing production, redlining, plotting, and drafting using CAD platforms.
• Will work closely with engineers and senior designers on assigned projects.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Understands basics of 2D Software and knowledge of CAD standards. Experience with 3D platforms considered a plus.
• Basic knowledge of software programs with Autodesk and Bentley platforms, primarily AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
• Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Developing cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.

Education and Experience

Associate's degree or technical diploma/certificate in a related program with a minimum 2 years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Typical office environment working with computers at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Salary Range(s):

• $26.44 per hour - $37.02 per hour (CA, CO locations only)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
