DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Municipal Courts currently has a part time employment opportunity available for a Customer Service Representative in our One Call Solution Center for individuals who are self-motivated, customer service oriented, have attention to detail, and possesses strong organizational skills. As an official of the Court, your responsibilities may include the following:


  • Answering incoming citizen information calls and payment calls
  • Collection of fines, processing payments by cash, check, credit card and wire transfer
  • Data entry of payment and fees in the Court's case management system
  • High level of direct contact with the general public, attorneys, court staff and law enforcement
  • Taking calls in a call center environment
  • Dissemination of court information as required
  • Data entry of court records and transactions
  • Scanning of court documents into the Court's case management system
  • Periodic rotation to alternate Court locations and/or sections
  • Other administrative and customer service related responsibilities as assigned
  • Must submit to annual background checks
PART-TIME hours may vary as needed and you must be available to work the assigned hours.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major so discomfort in a normal office environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Basic Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or a GED.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Six (6) months of administrative or customer service related experience is required.

Associate’s degree may be substituted for up to two years of experience.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

PREFERENCES

Preferences shall be given to candidates that have the following:


  • 6 months of collections and call center experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Proficiency in Window and Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel, Outlook)

**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidate the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.*
