Medical Assisting Instructors – Day time – Ridgeland Mississippi

Delta Technical College, an established career college with campuses throughout the Midwest and Mississippi Delta region, is seeking a day time Medical Assisting Instructor for our Ridgeland, Mississippi campus.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to train students for entry level employment in the workforce. The Medical Assisting Instructor will assist students in a classroom and clinical lab setting. Delta Technical College believes that hands-on learning is the greatest benefit that instructors can provide to its students.

Job Duties Include:

• Teaching classes in both a classroom and clinical lab environment
• Assisting with placing students at externships during their final term at school
• Maintaining a good working relationship with externship sites
• Assisting graduates with placement in their related career field
• Staying up to date with industry standards

Minimum Qualifications:

• A combination of educational and experiential qualifications in excess of a diploma in Medical Assisting.
• Relevant qualifications, training, and experience in the field of Medical Assisting, which must include, at a minimum, three years of work experience as a CMS, RMA, LPN, or RN
• Teaching experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills are a must
• Computer proficiency in industry related software
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to Multi-task
