The Regional Director of Lab Operations is a strategic partner reporting to the Head of Zoetis Reference Labs (ZRL) Operations. The Director will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership and implementing strategies for efficient operations. You will be accountable for the operations of 6-10 local veterinary laboratories in your assigned region. This position requires a seasoned operational expert that is nimble in a fast-changing and fast-paced business environment with an impressive ability to see around corners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effective leader for regional laboratories, providing management skills and oversight to local laboratory teams. Will have approximately 6-10 direct reports.
• Develop, implement, track and execute strategic growth plans for your region working in alignment with sales team.
• Optimize the local labs for efficient operations. Talent is the key to success, you will ensure your local laboratories are staffed with the right colleagues!
• Partner with the leadership team to ensure optimal operations and world class service to our customers.
• Ensure company policies are being followed
• Anticipate staffing needs and work with HR to attract and retain the right talent
• Partner with ZRL leadership team to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide compliance
• Drive continuous improvement and improve overall operational efficiency
• Organize and prioritize work assignments.
• Support and help prioritize capital expenditure projects based on operational needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in operations management; Immediate preference given to clinical laboratory operations. Immediate interview's for veterinary lab experienced leaders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business; MBA Preferred but not required
• Proven track record in Operations, prior experience with multiple laboratory leadership.
• Experience analyzing budgets, forecasts and financial statements
• Successful track record leading teams and organizational effectiveness
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment
