- 40% - Performs circulation desk duties (including, but not limited to, circulating items, supervising desk student(s), dealing with circulation problems, receiving packages, checking phone messages, assisting patrons with locating course reserves, retrieving holds, and checking remote bookdrops). Opens the library multiple days a week, occasionally closes the library if needed, and works rotating Saturdays as needed. This position also serves as the primary backup for the weekday and the Saturday opening of the library. - (Essential)
- 30% - Assist the Equipment Specialist with equipment maintenance, including imaging, inventory, barcoding, cleaning and organization of the large circulation collection of equipment for students, faculty, and staff. Helps compile data for annual reporting and proposals as needed. - (Essential)
- 15% - Assists the Collection Specialist with stacks maintenance such as shelving, inventory, shifting, shelf reading, and other collection projects as they arise. - (Essential)
- 10% - Processes and completes the transit of books to distance learners, the Professional Studies Library and the Emerald Coast Campus Library. - (Essential)
- 5% - Other duties as assigned. - (Essential)
- Physical Requirements: Occasional and/or light lifting required. Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely results would be cuts, bruises, etc.
