Integration Specialist (Workday ERP)

Hospital for Special Surgery is seeking an experienced IT professional to assist with the implementation and maintenance of Workday ERP system under the general direction of the Manager - Corporate Systems or equivalent. Candidate should have extensive knowledge of ERP Integrations and should be experienced with modern integration technologies.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of integrations from point-to-point systems as well as holistic interchange services rendering effective data quality and dependable exchanges of digital information
  • Communicates complex ideas skillfully and with nuance, and establishes alignment within the wider organization
  • Prepares and conducts thoughtful and professional presentations for team, department, and/or operational audiences that include leadership with minimal oversight. Presentations demonstrate attention to detail
  • Identifies opportunities to improve existing processes and works with leadership to drive changes that positively affect the customer, process, or team.
  • Research best practice, industry benchmarks and implement leading practice standards.
  • Ensure the thorough review and testing of each new release and enhancement. Trusted to offer recommendations and guidance with minimal oversight. Can speak to the pros/cons or the thought process behind the recommendations.
  • Troubleshoots problems and addresses questions from users and aids in troubleshooting and problem resolution for escalations.
  • Provide oversight of on-site support activities during go-lives and system upgrades.
  • Performs warm handoffs between support teams and communicates timely updates to end users.
  • Report, escalate, and mitigate risks and issues appropriately. Removes blockers. Explores and assesses alternatives to keep project on track
  • Leads business stakeholders in designing and optimizing technology workflows
  • Works with stakeholders to define minimal viable product and ensure the project or sprint continuously delivers value. Works with Product Owner to prioritize backlog.
  • Stay current on health care and technology topics, pursues opportunities to expand knowledge.
  • Point person on team for difficult escalations and customer support that require sensitivity.
  • Develops partnership with operational counterparts to proactively identify enhancement requests.
  • Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems for integrating the Workday cloud application with external applications across a wide array of Human Capital Management and Financial functional areas, Supply Chain where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Design, build, and support testing of Workday integration code base including Studio, EIB and supporting 3rd party coding
  • Lead Discovery session with client for each domain specific integration
  • Deliver requirements and design documents to developers
  • Ensure timelines and quality of integration is met
  • Engage with 3rd party vendors as required
  • Closely follow the strategic direction set by leadership when establishing Workday project goals
  • Responsible for timely identification and escalation of risks and development of alternative technical and functional approaches when necessary
  • Collaborate with client counterpart to successfully deliver on shared objectives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing and up to date Workday Integrations Partner Certification
  • 5+ years of Workday Integrations experience.
  • 5 years of experience in the application of modern integration technologies (EDI, Web Services, XML, XLST, Java, .NET, middleware)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ year’s Healthcare IT experience
  • 5+ years’ ERP Integrations experience
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
