The Manager, Information Security Operations position is an essential and instrumental part of the IT Security team providing hands-on day-to-day security administration, security operation center management, incident response and threat intelligence. In addition, this position works with multiple functional areas to identify and recommend solutions on security-related issues and provides expertise and hands-on security administration of a broad range of security duties.
The Manager, Information Security Operation implements and manages information security measures to ensure and protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of BeiGene’s assets. The position is responsible for monitoring, reviewing, analyzing and evaluating the on-going security of BeiGene’s environment and ensuring compliance with policy and standards.
Essential Functions of the job:
  • Ensuring adherence to BeiGene's IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Developing and executing security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent and intercept internal and external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company data and systems.
  • Conducting network traffic analysis and correlating actionable security events using raw packet data, net flow, IDS/IPS, etc.
  • Performing vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and periodic penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and determine appropriate controls to prevent, detect, or respond to future events.
  • Identifying security violations and inefficiencies through security tests, evaluations, and internal audits.
  • Assist in conducting compliance assessments to ensure the security of information systems while developing and maintaining the necessary documentation.
  • Managing incident response, investigation, analysis, resolution, and reporting activities.
  • Participating in root cause analysis of critical security events to improve processes.
  • Leading and managing security programs such as SOC operations and assisting with incident response.
  • Participating in threat intelligence gathering and monitoring sources for new vulnerabilities.
  • Providing regular security updates and reports to senior management.
  • Ensuring the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of company information and systems.
  • Managing and developing the SOC team, including hiring, training, and mentoring employees.
  • Collaborating with other IT departments to develop and implement security policies and procedures across BeiGene.
  • Maintaining knowledge of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to ensure the SOC is up-to-date with the latest industry best practices.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in the information security field, including a strong understanding of security concepts, methods, and procedures.
  • Strong experience in monitoring, researching, and resolving security incidents, as well as the ability to perform root cause analysis of security events/breaches, and carry out incident response, investigation, analysis, forensics, resolution, and reporting.
  • Experience in designing, reviewing, and auditing secure network, systems, and application architectures to ensure the BeiGene's security posture.
  • Proven experience executing security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to intercept and prevent attempts or attacks.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and vulnerability evaluations to identify potential security threats and develop appropriate controls.
  • Hands-on experience with implementing and monitoring security methods and control techniques, such as firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection and prevention systems, virtual private networks, data loss prevention, security information and event management, file integrity monitoring, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, data encryption, backup, and disaster recovery, or other security-related technologies.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge and practical experience with recognized industry security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO, SOX, GMP, and/or other best practices.
  • Experience with implementing and managing email security and archiving solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of security in DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Active Directory, and network topologies.
  • Experience with cloud security, including AWS, Azure/O365, and PaaS.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security, GIAC GCIH, GIAC GMON, GIAC GCFE, GIAC GCFA, CEH, CISM, CISSP, ISSAP/ISSEP are highly desirable.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Salary Range: $122,300.00 - $162,300.00 annually

Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
