Job Family Definition:
North America Marketing is looking for a Strategic Marketing Initiatives Guide that will report directly to the Americas Marketing Leader. This individual contributor role (but heavy organizer, collaborator, & influencer) will work cross-functionally within North America to track/drive strategic priorities & initiatives, expand leadership bandwidth, monitor progress toward goals, improve communications, contribute to the creation/execution of new programs & initiatives, & generally pitch-in wherever help is needed to ensure success.
The role is marketing focused in nature, however, collaboration and partnership with the extended ecosystem is paramount to success. The candidate will be expected to efficiently navigate HPE to team with sales, marketing, product business units, operations, channel, alliance partners, etc.
Management Level Definition:
Applies program management expertise, sales skills, subject matter knowledge, budgeting skills, & marketing operational prowess to innovate ways to solve business problems and ensure timely, effective completion of priorities. Works on multiple facets of marketing, demand generation, & sales development that may be diverse in complexity and scope. Exercises independent judgement within generally defined policies and practices, to propose the appropriate solution or path. Must have calm demeanor, grit, and patience to handle unique situations. Will work tasks and projects ranging from mundane in nature to highly urgent & visible. Ability to multi-task.
Responsibilities:
- Works cross-functionally to track priority list & participate in/oversee strategic initiatives from ideation to implementation to ensure timely & effective completion
- Supports tactical needs to expand leadership bandwidth
- May represent leadership in meetings to communicate key priorities, take notes, and/or assume responsibility for completion of action items.
- Planning, coordinating, & keeping contents of meeting
- Performs marketing operations activities as needed
- Works with leadership to deliver, monitor, and communicate progress toward goals
- Identifying and helping solve core problems or opportunities with business processes
- Assists with communication/capturing feedback to assure information is promptly/clearly shared.
- Compiles accurate & up-to-date information to allow leadership to make better-informed decisions.
- May be called on to guide efforts to create, innovate, & develop new programs/initiatives for HPE sales, end user customers, or channel partners to drive pipeline, sales results, enablement, or promote awareness.
- Constantly searching for innovative ways to engage target market. Displays willingness to “fail fast” when testing/implementing new methods.
- Prioritizes overall success of North America & Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Education and Experience Required:
- BA or BS in Marketing, Business, Sales, Entrepreneurship, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years’ experience in marketing, sales, strategy, program management, or related functional area in the IT market. Experience working with the Hewlett-Packard Enterprise ecosystem or competitive market beneficial.
- Sales and/or channel experience a plus.
