Job description
Mission: Seton Home works to break the cycle of abuse and poverty by providing a caring home, education, and support services necessary to transform the lives of pregnant and parenting teen mothers and their children.
Summary:
As the initial point of contact for any visitor or caller, this position is responsible for extending positive customer service and coordinating communication between the public and employees of Seton Home. Key components of this position include greeting clients/visitors, receiving donations, processing mail, monitoring front gate/telephone calls. Must be knowledgeable regarding the programs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in a manner that fosters a trauma informed care environment.
- Maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, interdependence, and ethical behavior.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Provide support services to residence, staff & the public at reception area.
- Provide front desk coverage and maintain access control of all visitors on campus.
- Operate multi-line phone system to receive incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
- Receive and process mail and deliveries to the administration office.
- Receive donations and coordinate services with Resource department.
- Responsible for ordering, sorting & distributing office supplies for Administrative staff.
- Maintain postage meter.
- Maintain presentable appearance of lobby.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Assistant or the Office of the Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education
- High school diploma and three years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with non-profits is preferred, higher education may replace the experience requirement.
- License and Credentials
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
- Clear driving record
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role including non-profit background.
- Experience with computer software and multi-line phone system (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite software preferred);
- A solid grasp of the agencies programs and ability to direct inquiries appropriately.
- Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
- Must have good written and verbal skills.
- Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Travel Requirements:
Travel requirements for the position includes 5 % local and 0 % overnight.
