Part Time Counselor/Social Workers is a member of our Fellowship program and is responsible for providing a range of direct and indirect professional counseling services for Boise State students, faculty and staff within the scope of services offered by Counseling Services .
Time the Part Time Counselor must:
- 65% of the time Clinical Services – Provide direct service counseling, individual, couple, group, and crisis intervention, triage coverage, and psychological assessment.
- 15% of time Case Management – Documentation of clinical services, collaborate with other Health Services providers and community to best manage clinical caseload and ensure effective treatment.
- 15% of time Supervision & Training – Participate in the training and supervision related to duties as a member of the Counseling Services Fellowship
- 5% of time Outreach – Provide outreach/preventive programming in the form of presentations, training, workshops for the Boise State community.
- Knowledge, awareness, skills and experience related to providing individual, multi person and group counseling
- Advance listening skills, problem solving, wide repertoire of intervention strategies
- Knowledge of ethical principles,
- Mastery of personal and interpersonal dynamics, assessment skills, strong diagnosis skills, understanding of abnormal behavior
- Knowledge working on a highly integrated clinical team
- Maintain a high level of communication skills and work well with a diverse group of people.
- Crisis management – utilize, maintain up-to-date skills related to high risk populations and community resources in mental health
- Strong case management skills based on relevant knowledge and principles
Licensed in the State of Idaho as LPC or LMSW
Salary commensurate with experience. This is a Temporary Non Benefit position.
