As a People Business Partner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Planning (20%)

    • Build effective partnerships with business units to maintain and continue building a culture of innovation and performance excellence.
    • Provide expertise in areas of People Operations such as employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, change management, leadership development and diversity.
    • Drive organizational capability through assessing talent, identifying competency gaps, following through on succession plans, and the strategic movement of people.
    • Partner with Director of People Operations, Department leaders, and their teams to facilitate achievement of business objectives and goals.
    • Ensure successful execution of HR fundamentals (i.e., metrics and data accuracy, HRIS systems, leave management, benefit resource, general People Ops administration).
    • Partner with internal compensation resources to provide compensation guidance to business leaders.
    • Protect the interest of employees and the Company in accordance with company policies, governmental laws, and regulations.
    • Work closely with department leaders and supervisors to review and make recommendations for title, level, and compensation changes. Effectively partner with the Director of People Operations and the Corporate Compensation team.
    • Manage assigned projects according to project objectives and deadlines.

Technical Functions (40%)

  • Creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programs.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute People Ops programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave, and disciplinary matters.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Responsible for supporting the bi-weekly payroll process by partnering with supervisors and corporate payroll to ensure that the process is done timely, accurately, and compliant with state and federal law.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

Logistical Functions (20%)

  • Administer corporate wide initiatives designed to assess and recognize performance through bonus, merit, employee reviews (Reflektive) and other types of programs.
  • Analyze and review statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of turnover and retention within the workforce, and develop recommendations/improvements to management, as well as improvements to employment policies, processes and practices.
  • Assist site leadership in the planned development and reinforcement of organizational strategies, structure, and processes.
  • Works with site management to identify current and future weaknesses and strengths; problems and concerns; job satisfaction and productivity.
  • Works with all levels of management on-site to ensure organizational competence and performance management.

Team & Leadership Functions (20%)

  • Provide coaching and solutions on matters related to employee performance and team effectiveness.
  • Guide leadership behaviors to improve team relationships, build morale, increase productivity and drive retention.
  • Coaching and mentoring at all management levels for continued performance development.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, psychology, or a related degree
  • Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist experience, including at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Spanish preferred
