Fabri-Kal Corporation, a leading manufacturer of plastics packaging (lids, cups, containers etc.) for supermarkets, food service, and consumer packaged products is seeking motivated and dependable Process Engineer to work in their Greenville, South Carolina Plant.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Lead efforts to develop improved process capabilities – upstream and thermoforming – keep on top of industry technology so that the Company will continue to be an industry leader.
• Assist/lead plant programs to improve process capabilities for existing jobs and capable of leading plant start-ups on new products.
• Provide process input to new product development teams. Lead plant start-ups of these jobs and develop stable process conditions.
• Develop and lead process initiatives in plants to improve quality and output
• Implement programs to improve overall product quality
• Work with material suppliers on understanding material behavior in the thermoforming process
• Work with material suppliers on resin improvements
• Develop specifications for new equipment purchases
• Establish specification for equipment upgrades
• Develop modeling capabilities for the thermoforming process
• Developing true SPC systems for thermoforming process
• Develop and conduct training programs for Line Operators and Process Technicians
• Participate in Corporate Process Team
• Work with plant process groups to improve technical capabilities
• Other duties as necessary

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Four year technical degree with minimum 7 years of relevant experience (or similar combination of education and experience) with history of progressive achievements
• Understanding of polymer behavior and processes
• Experience working with machinery
• Training experience
• Strong knowledge of Engineering principles
• Good verbal, written and presentation skills
• Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
