Job description
his is a direct hire with a College Prep School. The Title I Reading Teacher will be responsible with teaching courses for students for 2022 - 2023 school year. The Title I Reading Teacher must have a minimum of 1 year of experience.
Responsibilities:
- Title I Reading Teacher will take personal responsibility for the academic outcomes of every student delivering measurable academic growth and increasing every student’s achievement.
- Set measurable, ambitious, and attainable goals for the year and each interim assessment cycle. Develop and implement daily lesson plans as part of a long-term Scope & Sequence aligned to the curricular goals
- Review student achievement and assist with placing students in appropriate reading and writing intervention and support services
- Teach targeted literacy intervention to small groups of students daily using research-based strategies and resources
- Coordinate Title I Reading and Math nights to engage families in activities they can do outside of school to reinforce and enhance student learning
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required
- State Teacher Certification required
- Reading endorsement
- A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
