Job description
Jacksons is searching for an IT Technical Support Specialist 3 to join our team! You will use your IT expertise by providing hardware and software support to new and existing Jacksons employees. You will assist in providing set up and use of hardware and software systems and equipment, providing escalated support for desktops and laptops, as well as servers and networking equipment. You will help create documentation and policies, maintain consumable hardware inventory, and drive process improvements.

What will I do as an IT Technical Support Specialist 3 (Implementation Specialist)?

Here are just some of the things you will do in this role:
  • Interact directly with assigned internal employees, maintaining positive relationships.
  • Provision hardware and install software throughout the life cycle; ordering, tracking, system builds, testing and deployment.
  • Assist employees with ongoing data or system maintenance.
  • Create and provide system or implementation process documentation.
  • Suggest feature or functionality changes or enhancements to product management based on client feedback.
  • Escalate concerns or issues to the appropriate team.
  • Take ownership of tickets and tasks assigned to the implementation team.
  • Manage PC lifecycle, consumable hardware and inventory, and track warranty period.
  • Partner with infrastructure and business application teams to maintain software version control.
  • Provide status updates in team meetings including new store and new construction meetings.
  • Additional duties as assigned
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
  • An Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in hardware installation and desktop support.
  • 1+ years of experience in automation.
  • A+ Certification preferred.
  • Experience with Azure and Intune a plus.
  • A history of accepting changes and responds to setbacks positively and with minimal disruption. Able to take on a variety of different tasks and roles within the organization. Learns quickly when facing new problems: experiments and will try anything to find solutions; embraces the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.
  • Experience communicating effectively and professionally with supervisor, co-workers, and all other departments.
  • A history of responding actively and sensitively to customer needs and problems.
  • The ability to adhere to the work schedule and report to work on time.
  • Understanding of the job requirements, work environment, and customer needs. Completes work with minimal direction.
  • The ability to make well-reasoned and timely decisions that favorably affect work performance and customer service.
  • Practice in working effectively and efficiently. Well organized. Prioritizes work properly. Makes few errors.
  • Experience cooperating and working well with all employees.
Physical Demand:
Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
