Position Title: Night Auditor

Reports to: Guest Care Manager / General Manager

Pay Status: Non Exempt

Major Job Responsibility:

· To provide efficient and courteous service to each customer

· To accurately compute the daily income of the hotel by verifying that all customer accounts are correct and in balance by the following morning

· To function as Manager-on-Duty (MOD) in accordance with company policies and procedures

Job Duties:

1. Meets and exceeds customer and team member expectations by providing service and teamwork

  • Provides value added service to customers by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed
  • Handles difficult situations effectively

  • Performs other duties as required to provide service and teamwork

2. Verifies and balances daily charges for all departments to customer folios, master accounts and house accounts; makes corrections as necessary in accordance with SREE policy

3. Balances the rooms charges/audit

4. Runs computer through nightly processing sequence to reset for next day’s use in balancing of applicable functions

5. If applicable to hotel, audits food and beverage income posting and charges

  • Records and balances all food and beverage income
  • Balances the guest ledger posting to the restaurant audit guest ledger
  • Records and balances staff and house charges
  • Audits all banquet tickets before posting, verifying the accuracy of the calculations and attaching the latest event order

6. Audits room revenue and other income

o Closing and balancing all room accounts

o Counting and balancing cash and credit card receipts

o Balancing direct bill accounts

o Verify postings for Gift Certificate’s, Franchise Reward certificates & coupons

o Daily closing report for cash over/short

o Disputed & Admin calls reports

o Walked guest report

o Making adjustments or corrections to accounts as needed

o SREE audit and complete night audit pack

7. Reviews all credit card vouchers for proper imprints, authorizations, and correct amounts

  • Prepares and transmits credit card deposits
  • Respond to charge backs

8. Processes all city ledger work to accounting

  • Prints separate calculator tapes for designated categories of work
  • Organizes and dates the work for processing

9. Review availability in PMS & MARSHA 6 weeks out

10. Adheres to hotel policies and procedures

  • Attends work on time as scheduled
  • Follows hotel grooming and dress standards
  • Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures

11. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance

12. Performs all these and night clerk duties as GSR in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position

13. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate

14. Performs such other ancillary and related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor or General Manager

15. Must achieve required threshold scores according to brand and SREE inspections.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Hotel Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Front Desk: 1 year (Preferred)
