GENERAL SUMMARY/BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB:

The psychotherapist is responsible for providing psychotherapy and other treatment services that affirm clients’ strengths, broaden their problem-solving abilities, and increase their self-knowledge. Psychotherapist will practice as an independent provider within the clinic assigned. Psychotherapist is responsible to ensure that appropriate documentation is completed as required for billing, coding and professional standards. The therapist acts as a mentor and leader to newer staff and Masters level students/interns. Candidates must have exceptionally, good interpersonal skills, clinical insight, and comfort/experience working with individuals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

• Conduct psychotherapeutic and other clinic treatment sessions for individuals, families and groups
• Complete all required case records and statistical reporting documentation within specified time frames.
• Completing Comprehensive Assessments and Individualized Treatment Plans which determines medical necessity.
• Provide direct service for 70% of work hours.
• Facilitate consultation and outreach to assure the provision of holistic treatment. - Attend monthly all staff meetings, clinical case staffing's, and assigned in-service sessions.
• Provide mental health services to individuals with commercial insurances as an Independent Provider within the clinics assigned.Provide services under Clinicians’ NPI #.

Ability to do clinical supervision for colleagues working towards licensure
Ability to do clinical supervision for interns during the academic year.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

• Masters in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Marital Family Therapy or related behavioral health program that is a license eligible degree.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years experience required

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

• LCSW
