THE POSITION:

The community Counseling Program Manager develops, implements, and directs the self-contained clinical team which assumes responsibility for directly providing needed treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to identified clients with severe and persistent mental illness.

Additional Duties Include:

• Day -to-day supervision to direct service providers of program. The Program Manager guides the multidisciplinary team and philosophy of care. The Program Manager further directs and supervises staff activities, leads organizational, clinical, and service planning meeting and coordinates administrative functions.
• The Program Manager works in collaboration with psychiatric providers to provide clinical direction to staff.
• Provides leadership in directing treatment services designed to reduce episodes of harmful outcomes such as use of emergency departments, medical and psychiatric inpatient admissions, arrests and incarceration for program clients.
• Lead and attend agency and community meetings as assigned
• The Program Manager guides the team in using collaboration to deliver positive behavioral health, social and individual consumer outcomes such as consumer participation in education, competitive employment, anf family and social relationships.
• Monitor and coordinate client ratio expectations for program.
• Monitor accuracy and eligibility of client payer sources for billing/reimbursement. Tracks and completes prior authorizations as needed and signs of documents and receives payments.
• Function as primary liaison of agency in community and with the family members for various problem-solving strategies regarding service provisions.
• Educate and collaborate with community stakeholders regarding legal aspects of BH services, medical necessity, resources, etc.

We Require:

• Masters in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling required.
• Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or ability to obtain CADC within one year of hire required.
• Considerable knowledge of Substance Abuse principles and practices in appropriate specialty, mental health.
• Ability to assess, plan, provide, and evaluate substance abuse and mental health services.
• Knowledge of interviewing and counseling techniques, as well as knowledge of current developments in field of Substance Abuse, including current complexities of the healthcare industry.
• Evenings weekends and occasional nights, early mornings are required to meet needs of clients.
• Must be able to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation, and be able to provide leadership in times of crisis.
• Must carry a valid driver's license and have current automobile insurance in accordance with Vera French policy.

WE PREFER:

• Supervisory and program management experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health record systems preferred.
